What are the sectors of the city where Montreal Pro Inspection provides services ?

Our home inspection service covers all of Montreal metropolitan area. (Additional fees may apply beyond 50 Km outside of the Island of Montreal.)

What should I expect from a Montreal Pro Inspection report?

We perform a thorough examination of more than 400 points in and around the building including foundation, roof, interior, exterior, structure, plumbing system, electricity, and safety hazards. You will receive a detailed report including a list of defective areas, if any, with pictures and lots of valuable information about how to maintain your property in the future.

What is the delay to obtain an appointment for inspection ?

We usually are able to book an inspection within 2 or 3 days. (we don't charge extra for weekends and holidays, as long as it's scheduled in advance.)
We perform our inspections either in the morning or early afternoon since is based on visual signs and we need optimal daylight to ensure the best outdoor visibility. We can exceptionally schedule for late afternoon, as long as the visibility is still satisfactory.


Do I have to be there during the inspection?

You need to be present to sign the contract and give us the authorization for our inspectors to proceed. Your presence during the course of the inspection itself is optional, however, we strongly recommend you to be present or follow the course of the inspection, since the explanations given on the site will greatly enhance your understanding of your home.

How long a home inspection usually takes?

Typically the inspection takes between 2 to 3 hours, but this depends on the size and condition of the house.

How long will it take before I receive the report?

During and after the inspection, you will receive a verbal report to provide you with overall present condition of the house. The full report will be emailed to you within the next day.

If the home is brand new, do I still need to have it inspected?

Yes. Even the best home-builders could make mistakes. Besides, our job is not only to find problems, we also provide you information to maintain your property in a better and safer condition.

As a seller, do I need a home inspection?

A home inspection helps you to understand where you stand before a potential buyer enters your home. That doesn’t mean you have to repair everything, but it will help to reach a better compromise between the parties.
